I pay some bills online around the first, (pension day),also write checks, then around the 15th, (SS day) I do the rest that are due. I keep the bills in "first half, second half" piles.

I try to do them as they come in so I don't forget any, even tho I keep them in a basket as they come.

I usually check about once a week to see what is due that week and get them paid.

Until recently, I did them once a month, about the 28th or 29th. Then a couple of the monthly bills started coming near the beginning of the month and were due around the 20th. So now I send out checks twice a month.

Twice a month.

One of the things I let Jerry do. :) He does it as they come in.

When I paid the bills I did them as they came in. Then one month DH bought something really expensive and I figured if he could do that, he could pay the bills. I've always been frugal, but he's not and none of my children are. I don't know how they missed that gene! He waits to send them in until a few days before they are due, and once missed a due date on Visa and when he saw the interest they charged, he almost had a stroke, and so that hasn't happened again!

Try to pay them as they come in. Otherwise I misplace them and forget to pay them.

Hubby does the bills, I think he runs through them once a week.

I throw everything into a basket and sort it out about every three weeks and then either pay by cheque or online depending on the deadlines for the bill.

I pay them as they come in.

I'm like Ack. Mortage goes out automatically from bank acc. on the 1st when pension check goes in. Then, as the bills come to the house, (I have a book, actually for birthday cards, where each months page has a pocket) I put the bills in the pocket. Then on the 10th, another check (investment proceeds) comes into the bank, and I then pay utilities, and Visa/MC. On the 3rd Wed. another (SS) check comes in. I try to save most of that one, for emergencies, or bills I put off for one reason or another. (Last month it went for a laptop for my DGS for HS graduation.) This month, I'm not sure, but I know something will come up. It will probably have to go on the removal of the old trailer and the setting up of the new one.

I pay them as they come in. It seems as though companies are giving less time for the payment, so paying once a month could cause me to have to pay interest.

All of our bills are paid automatically. The few that aren't once a month and come here to the house get paid as soon as they come in.

I do them all in the last week of the month, at least the ones that aren't done automatically. I only write about 2 checks a month. Most of my payments are done online. I love that.

Every week I take a look and pay what needs to be paid. The credit cards I pay as I get them and the others I pay when they are due.

Twice a month IF the companies cooperate and send the bills on time.

Everything is taken out automically from my checking account, except Visa and Comcast. I like to review the Visa bill before I pay it, and this month I noticed they had changed the due date from June 29th. to July 1st. I always pay it (online, and in full) before the due date anyway. The Comcast (TV) bill I pay by check because we are having an ongoing disagreement about what the charge is. I'm paying what my contract says; they are saying it is more, so I always have a balance due. Too bad!

I really like having the bills paid automatically. I've never had any problems doing it that way. Might as well take advantage of the technological age that we are living in.

Twice a month....we don't have many just utilities and mortage so is pretty easy...Stacy

I schedule them on-line for payment by the bank as they come in.
All but one....the backward Management company, hired by pur HOA, does not accept checks from a bank without their little coupon. They refuse to move forward from the 1880's style of processing receivables
So, I have to write 1 paper check and mail it through the iffy-service USPS.

I pay the day they come in online for most of them
I used to write checks and still do for a few. I just started online last month. My mtg is auto paid from my checking so I don't have to worry about that. My insurance I pay by credit card and get cash points for that. I try and charge as much as I can on one credit card and then pay that off each month when the bill comes in and get the extra points. I only carry a $20 and some ones for tips.

Saving stamp money: pay online!

A little bit of all of the above. Major credit cards get paid online. Phone is paid online. Store credit when I happen to be near the store. Water ,gas and electric are mailed.

I am supposed to have a mortgage payment but we are battling the lender for a payoff. They've completely screwed up because their computers can't handle a final payoff that is less than a normal mortgage payment. So we sit in limbo for under $300.00 and a couple k in escrow.
